Work in Progress

Started by stitching myself in black thread
except for the red glasses of course!
looked way too boring
it needed a bit of fun
It's on a very sheer lawn
can't add anything too heavy
so stitched on some sheers.
Now I'm wondering what to do
on the enormous amount of background that surrounds me.
Do I add stitch?
Do I stitch in a myriad of colours or just white?

  1. I'll be very interested to see where you take this, but I hesitate to make comments and suggestions. Only - trust your instincts.

    1. Right now I'm just improving bits and pieces of the body. Whether I add to the background will depend on time constraints!

    1. The thing is, how much time am I willing to put into a piece that I really don't want hanging around the place for too long!

  3. Penny ... I started visiting your site through a link from Christi's site (sweetpeapath.blogspot.com). I've thoroughly enjoyed watching your scratchings, transcribing our truly Epic Winter (I live on the southshore).

I absolutely love what you've done here. Whatever you add shouldn't take away from the great lines you've already started. (imho :) ... maybe a repetitive stitch or your favourite imagined landscape? whatever you choose to do? I love what you've already accomplished!

    1. Thanks, Jane. I'm just improving little bits and pieces at the moment and might run out of time to actually add a lot to the background.

  5. Here is what I did on my background. I also wanted it to stay in the background.

    1. Hi Sharron...Yea, the socks are my favourite bit too. Just read your musings on Connections....feeling guilty because as you say, it has always been the same core people who do everything.
